Today, there is sunshine although temperatures are refusing to tip over into double digits making it feel less like Spring than I’d like. Although this holiday has come to represent a day of celebration for the working class masses, it was originally associated with the Celtic festival, Beltane. So in the pagan spirit of optimism, I’m leaving politics out of it and choosing to go hunting for spring blossoms instead.
