Woot! It’s that time of the year again! WIPMarathon! Last time I took part in this, I wrote 30k words of a story that might never have seen the light of day. Can’t wait to jump into this again in December.
Marathon Goal: Finish and revise the first draft of my YA science fiction novel tentatively titled The A.N.G.E.L Codex. Draft an NA story – still in development stages.
Stage of writing: One chapter away from a finished draft. Need to revise and send out to betas before Christmas.
What inspired my current project: It’s a cyborg story set in the same world as I Heart Robot (coming soon from Month9Books) and was actually inspired by an older novel I wrote years ago but couldn’t ever sell. This is actually a major rewrite of that first novel which landed me my agent.
What might slow down my marathon goal: Christmas, end of school semester stuff, life… So many things can get in the way, but I’m determined to get this done!
Best time of the day for writing: Mornings before lunch on the days I don’t teach and evenings after dinner.
Can’t wait to get started and hang out with all my #WIPmarathon buddies again! Happy writing everyone 🙂
