Juhannus – The Finnish Summer Solstice

Today is a brief post, just to say that I’m far away in the middle of the Finnish forest sipping red wine at the edge of a lake in preparation for the midsummer bonfire.

Midnight on Midsummer’s Eve

This is one of the Finnish traditions we have adopted and celebrate every year at our friend’s ‘kesä-mökki.‘ Since my computer and Internet access is extremely limited this weekend, suffice it to say, Happy Solstice! Whether you’re celebrating midwinter or midsummer, may you have a wonderful weekend where-ever you are.

I will be posting a new Queries that Worked tomorrow, so be sure to check back then!

Do you celebrate midsummer/midwinter?
